Karmic Debts While On the Earth

The Couple by Sheilan

On this earth school, karma and karmic lessons are an integral part of the learning. We must accumulate karma purposefully in order to have a storyline in order to learn lessons and to grow and eventually move on from here to another school. So, after accumulating the karmic debt, it is important we pay back the debt in order to fully complete the lesson.

Karma is used as a tool to pay into or subtract out of the storyline.  There is nothing, which is given or happens to us from another which is free or without consequences.  It is either something that is owed to us or something our soul will be paying back at another time.  All debts are required to be paid back before we are balanced and can graduate from this earth school. Karmic debts are collected and paid back in a myriad of ways… not only the direct and obvious ways.  The complicated karmic system adds deep levels to the learning and makes for a more interesting time on the planet and in school.

Judging actions of others and ourselves, as good and bad, keeps us unaware of the deeper reality and that we are in an illusion or dream.  Nothing is ever as it seems on the surface. How do we know when karma is being newly made or when it is being paid back? When we realize we are in a school we become more serious about our lessons. We surrender and no longer resist doing the work before us. At this stage, we are soul tired and desire to stay focused so we can graduate.

Having An Opinion

Higher Self by Sheilan

Higher Self by Sheilan

In the advaita and non-duality community, I have seen people thinking that to have an opinion is unenlightened and undesirable!!!!  My perception and opinion 😉 is this: concerning enlightenment, it matters not if we have opinions or not. What matters is our attachment and identification to the opinion that we make. This shows a subtle and important distinction and understanding of Self.

The ego is not the issue or problem.  It is our attachment to what the ego does and says, which keeps us from enlightenment.  It is our beliefs we are the ego/body foremost and deny soul it’s due reign over all parts of Self.  Sometimes in the process of giving soul it’s due we go to the other extreme and deny our opinions and then we appear cardboard like.  This reveals we our identifying our Self, on some, level as the ego/body. The ego/body self is our vehicle.  We do not exist without the container of ego/body and higher self.  The ego is not the part of Self, which identifies.  So then what deeper part of us is doing the identifying?  It is the part of us, which is in the process of waking up to Self and why we chose to come to earth school.

We become handicapped when we deny or don’t recognize all parts of Self.  To be balanced and whole is to embrace having an opinion and an ego, while knowing we are soul/consciousness foremost and so live our lives surrendered to Consciousness and soul.  Our higher self, which many do not realizes exists, is the part of us which is the bridge between the other two parts of Self and that ,which is awakening to Self.  While on earth we are all three parts of Self.  Jesus Christ called these three parts of Self the Father (soul/Consciousness), Son (human body) and Holy Ghost (higher self). When not on an earth like school, we are soul and higher self.  Higher self can be known and directly connected and communicated with via our meditations.

Enjoy your opinion!
